Dr. Nickel has been a member of the Department of Urology at Queen’s University since 1984 and was promoted to full Professor in 1994. He maintains a clinical research institute (Center for Applied Urological Research) at Queen’s University.

He has given invited lectures in over 40 countries. He is on the scientific or review panel of numerous granting agencies, a regular reviewer for over a dozen urological and medical journals, and on the editorial board of eight national and international urological journals. He has served on the examination committee and as an examiner for the American Board of Urology and was an examiner for the Royal College Examination Board in Canada. He has been a member of the American Association of Genito-urinary Surgeons since 2004.

Dr. Gerald Brock is a Professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Urology, at St. Joseph's Health Care in London, Ontario. 

Dr. Brock is the author of over 180 publications, 25 book chapters, numerous abstracts and more than 20 research awards from national and international research organizations. Over the past 2 decades he has been invited to speak across Canada, the USA, Europe, Africa and Asia. Dr. Brock's work in urology and erectile dysfunction is acknowledged by his role as section editor of the CUA Journal, as well an editorial board member of multiple other scientific journals.

He has run an active andrology fellowship combining basic animal physiology with clinical exposure ranging from 1-2 years for the past two decades with graduates of urology programs from North America, Asia and beyond.
